Beyond the Sunshine. What Florida’s Housing Market Is Really Telling Us.

Florida’s housing market has long been defined by growth, migration, and demand. But the story is becoming more complicated.

Insurance costs, affordability challenges, inventory shifts, and changing buyer behavior are creating new signals for investors and advisors to watch.

And it’s not just about markets — it’s personal.
Florida isn’t just a case study. It’s where you live, invest, and advise. These shifts may touch your portfolio exposure to housing and regional growth, your clients’ wealth often concentrated in real estate, your own balance sheet through housing costs and insurance, and the local economy shaping opportunity, deal flow, and career mobility.

Join Eric Finnigan of John Burns Research & Consulting for a data-driven look at what is really happening in Florida housing — and what it may mean for clients, portfolios, and the state’s broader economic outlook.

You’ll leave with a clearer framework for evaluating Florida’s outlook and the risks and opportunities that may not yet be priced in.

Florida may still be growing. But the why and who behind that growth are changing and that changes everything.
